Disc Face Print

The face art on CDs/DVDs is silk screen print. We use 133 line screen as our standard. We can print 1 color or more – 4 color process + a white flood coat, or multiple spot colors. Metallic or fluorescent colors are available also.

The various types of disc configurations we print on are:

3” Mini CD
Mirror Band – standard configuration
Print to Center – covers entire disc
Rink Card – shapped like a ice rink
Stack Ring – prints entire area except for stack ring

3” Mini CD Print - template

Smaller version of standard 5” CD/DVD - Holds 185 MB of audio/data.

Mirror Band Standard Print - template

Standard CD/DVD print configuration. Mirror band is the “shiny” ring that has numbers etched in it. Print covers from the outer edge of the disc to the outer edge of the mirror band.

Print to Center Print - template

Both CD and DVD print configuration. Print covers the entire surface of the disc.

Rink Card Disc Print - template

Ice Rink shaped CD – top & bottom are flat, rounded sides.
Holds 50 MB of audio/data.

Stack Ring Knock Out Print - template

Both CD and DVD print configuration.
The Stack Ring is the clear plastic “collar” that is 35mm from the center of the CD. It protrudes from the underside of a disc, allowing a slight space between stacked discs so they won’t touch and damage either the print side or the audio/data side of the disc during the manufacturing process. Print covers the entire surface of the disc, except for the clear area of the stack ring.
